How to Draw Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman was originally a Princess of the Amazons who has won the right to live on “Man’s World.” She is consequently a super heroine who possesses powers such as superhuman strength, flight, speed and agility. She also possesses weapons such as a lasso of truth, indestructible bracelets and a tiara. Learn how to draw this superhero by learning how to draw her new look from the 2009 direct to video animated film of Wonder Woman.
Steps
- 1Begin by drawing her face and hair. Draw a rounded diamond shape and set on top of it her long hair. Draw also vertical and horizontal lines on her face to serve as guidelines.
- 2Draw a series of shapes for her upper body. Draw the shape of her main body by copying the illustration and then a succession of ovals for her arms ending with the shape of her hands. Draw also a vertical line for the guideline of her body.
- 3Draw her lower body. Draw a succession of shapes and ovals. The ovals that are should be larger than the oval of her arms to emphasize her legs ending with the shape of her boots or shoes.
- 4After drawing different kinds of shapes to create her body, connect everything together and erase some inside lines to form her main body, arms and legs.
- 5Create her superhero outfit. Start by drawing a one piece suit on her upper body and then add in an upside down “V” and stars on it.
- 6Create details such as the shape of her neck, boots, bracelets and the fingers on her hands.
- 7To prepare your drawing for the next step, clean up your drawing a bit by erasing some of the inside lines on her hair, arms, superhero suit, body and boots.
- 8After cleaning up your drawing, do the next step by adding in the details of her face. Then add her tiara, some wavy lines for the gloss on her hair and her lasso of truth located at the left side of her hip.
- 9Finish drawing her by creating a shape in a form of a blaze or long thin zigzag lines around her. The blaze doesn’t have to be perfect it can be a series of small zigzag lines or large ones.
- 10Outline your drawing by erasing pencil marks and guidelines. Use a standard black pen to outline her shape and then a thinner pen to outline the blaze on her background.
- 11Color your drawing! Use colors such as red for her boots, yellow for her blaze, some midnight blue on her suit, the color aquamarine for her eyes and then black for her raven hair.

How to Draw Wonder Woman in Easy Steps with the Following Drawing Tutorial for Kids
Step 1
draw Wonder Woman
Start off by making a simple oval with a stick, like a lollipop. The stick represents her spine and action line.
Step 2
draw Wonder Woman
Now draw a second oval , bigger and in the other direction, for her chest area.
Step 3
draw Wonder Woman
Now add a circle at the end of the lollipop stick….this is for the pelvis area. Then draw stick figure arms and legs. Since this is a female body tutorial, make the pose “softer” and more feminine. Also, the chest circle is smaller compared to a male’s.
Step 4
draw Wonder Woman
Add some circles for the knees and elbows. These circles are of the same size. They are also smaller than the shoulder, but larger than the hands. Also draw circles for the breasts…the closer one is larger…it looks like a sideways number ’8′.
Step 5
draw Wonder Woman
Draw some lines outside each circle’s edge to connect them and give your character a basic body. This is adding mass and form to the stick figure…now Wonder Woman is starting to look like a super hero. Also start drawing her cape.
Step 6.1 Drawing Wonder Woman’s Face and Head
draw Wonder Woman
Start drawing Wonder Woman’s facial features. Use the guidelines, going up and across the face, to help you place the facial features. Draw the nose starting from the crosshairs. It sort of looks like a curved capital letter ‘L’. Above it start drawing her eyes by drawing a sideways number ’7′ on the left and a sideways letter ‘v’ on the right eye. Draw the top of her lips as well. Draw her ear from the eyes to the nose.
Step 6.2 Drawing Wonder Woman’s Face and Head
draw Wonder Woman
Now draw more of her eyes. On the both sides draw a sideways letter ‘v’ shape. Draw a letter ‘T’ like shape in the ear. And draw the bottom of the top lip by drawing a slightly upwards curved line.
Step 6.3 Drawing Wonder Woman’s Face and Head
draw Wonder Woman
Draw a circle in each eye. and draw a much smaller circle for the highlight. Draw 2 letter ‘u’s for the bottom lip.
Step 6.4 Drawing Wonder Woman’s Face and Head
draw Wonder Woman
Now fill in the eye and draw her eyebrows and the face should look something like the one above.
Step 7
draw Wonder Woman
Since this is a female body, you do not need to add lots of small curves for muscles. Just make sure that the curves are simple, sleek, and long. Draw her hair and erase all of the guidelines sot hat your figure looks something like the one above.
Step 8 – Finish Drawing Wonder Woman Figure

Finally, draw your character’s costume and other details….and darken featured lines, as well as erase any unnecessary lines.

The Muscles of the Torso
The Muscles of the Torso
The drawings here show the major muscle groups, the visibility of which will depend upon the fitness of the figure you are drawing. The fashion for working out in the gym to achieve a toned body means that you should not find it too hard to find someone with a well-developed torso to pose for you so that you can make the most of the musculature shown here.Musculature of the Torso – Back View
The Torso
Male and female torsos present very different surfaces for the artist to draw. Because most men are more muscular than women, light will fall directly upon the angles and planes of the body and there will be more shadowed areas where the skin curves away from the light. The viewer will immediately understand these darker areas as showing muscular structure. In the case of the female torso, the shadowed areas are longer and smoother, because the planes of the body are not disrupted by such obvious muscle beneath the skin. The Torso Front and Back View
The Torso Side View
The male torso shown here from the front, back and side has a very distinctive set of muscles, which are easily visible on a reasonably fit man. Some of the edges of the large muscles are sharply marked, while other edges are quite soft and subtle. Showing this variation will prevent your drawing from looking like a cartoon strong-man character.
Drawing the Female Torso
The female figure shows less of the muscle structure because of the layer of subcutaneous fat that softens all the harsh edges of the muscles. This is why women generally look rounder and softer than men do.
Michelangelo- the torso of Adam and the torso of Venus Goddess
Here I show two classical interpretations of the human physique at its most beautiful and powerful: the first example, by the great Renaissance artist Michelangelo, shows the torso of Adam, the first man; and the second, the body of the goddess Venus, is a Roman copy of a Greek original.
Diagrams of the male and female torso
These diagrams of the male and female torso show their proportions. The central vertical line is divided horizontally by four lines which denote, from top to bottom, the top edge of the clavicles ( collar bones), the lower end of the sternum, the level of the navel and the lower edge of the pubic bone. Seen from the back, the same lines mark the top of the clavicles, the lower edge of the shoulder blades, the small of the back at the level of the navel, and the base of the sacrum of the iliac. The latter is hidden by the flesh part of the buttocks. The female proportions are the same, but generally on a slightly smaller scale. The main difference is the widest point, which on the man is invariably the shoulders and on the woman may be the hips instead. The divisions are all one head length apart from each other, so there is a proportion of about three head lengths to the torso.
The side views indicate the other differences between male and female torsos.
This detailed drawing of the back of a male torso shows the disposition of the muscles, and a diagram of what happens to these divisions when the body bends.
